What compositional elements and principles are present in your photo?
> Technically, how did you control the camera, lighting, or your position when you took the photo to create a successful shot? (How did you consider distance, point or view and camera angle?)
> Artistically, were you able to create a photo with a sense of mood or special meaning? (or) Were you able to show an interesting point of view? (or) Does the subject hold the viewer’s attention?
Photo 1: The compositional elements and principles presented in this photo is the law of thirds, and line and shape. There is not one specific element right in the center of the photo. I made sure when I took the photo that my back was facing the sun so there was no harsh lighting, but the light hit the building so the right amount of shadow was in the photo. I made sure that there was some clouds in the background of the building. Artistically I was very intrigued by the old architecture. I think the photo is interesting so I hope it sparks interest in the viewer. Photo 2: The compositional elements and principles presented in this photo is freezing motion. Technically, it took multiple tries to get this shot successfully. I took it from different distances and angles until I got one that I liked. Artistically, the photo definitely shows the subjects personality.
Photo 3: The compositional elements to this photo is law of thirds and line and shape. I made sure to not put one pole of the Mary go round directly in the middle of the photo. Technically, I wanted to get the sky and some sand in the photo. and wanted to show the color difference even though its in black in white. Artistically, I just thought it was an interesting subject to shoot. It was a very organic subject with the scratches in the Mary go round and the different colors.
